Since 1974, Volker has been known for the quality of the grapes he grows as well as for his passionate work toward saving the Napa Valley from the pressures of urban development. His dedication to the preservation of agricultural land continues to this day. Farming, specifically grape growing, only intensified his passion. It soon became clear that with exceptional grapes it made sense to produce exceptional wine, which Volker Eisele Family Estate has been doing since l991. Despite the demands of the winery, Volker still finds time to work for the preservation of our unique farming community. He is past president of the Napa County Farm Bureau as well as of the Napa Valley Grape Growers. |

Liesel, as winery partner and landscape architect, concentrates on the aesthetics of the family estate as well as the horticultural well being of plant life in Chiles Valley. Her firm has designed the landscaping for many residential and commercial projects, including numerous wineries. Volker Eisele Family Estate has profited from her experience. Over 20 years with Las Botillas, a lively Napa wine tasting group, has honed her appreciation of fine wine and the terroir which contributes to it. |

Tasting grapes off the vines as a small boy refined Alexander's taste buds at an early age. From fresh fruit, he moved on to Volker Eisele Family Estate wines. His degree in International Business serves him well in dealing with the complexities of a family winery. He grew up speaking German at home and Spanish in the fields. His business degree, foreign language skills, sensitive wine tongue and love for the land makes him an ideal successor to his father. |

Christiane, like her brother Alexander, also grew up on the ranch. Her love of wine led her to complete a degree in Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. From there she moved on to Medical School and the emergency room at Charity Hospital in New Orleans which have temporarily drawn her away from Chiles Valley. She still finds time to indulge in her interest in wine and to assist us as a consultant. |

The newest addition to our family is Catherine, Alexander's wife. She is a Napa native and has been exposed to wine and vineyards since childhood. Her job as manager of an accounting firm in St. Helena has given her valuable business experience. Catherine has also become an indispensable member of our tasting team and assists Alexander with key market visits. |
The Nevarez Family has been instrumental in the development of Volker Eisele Vineyard since 1974. They have participated in the planting of the vines as well as in the replanting after phyloxera. Their constant care of every vine contributes greatly to the production of top quality fruit for the Estate wines. We appreciate the Nevarez family's dedication and are thankful for their continued support. |
